Created for the Solo Dev Game Jam #7

This is a very rough prototype. It's got some bugs. All art is placeholder. There is no sound.

But by god, I challenged myself to make a card battler in under 72 hours, and I somehow managed to pull it off. The wheels may be coming off this wagon, but hey, it's a wagon cardbattler!

How to play:

  • At the start of your turn, you can choose to draw from the main deck, which contains deployable units, or the "parts" deck, which contains upgrades for deployed units.
  • Drag-and-drop units onto the slots on the board to deploy them. Deployed units can attack on their next turn.
  • Drag from a deployed unit to the boss to attack.
  • Parts/Upgrades can be equipped onto deployed units, if they have an open slot for that type of part.

This was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! For real, I really enjoy deck builder games. You took this Game Jam's theme and built an entire deck building game around it. All in 72 hours. It's amazing and I want more. It's very well-balanced, too. I don't know how you did it all, I'm truly blown away.

I ended up playing it multiple times. I got a bit distracted between games but I had a lot to say about it after I beat it a 2nd time.

Thank you so much! I'm over here grinning like a loon watching you play my game and seeing what the chat thinks of it.

I had definitely planned to let you attack the "side bosses" to temporarily disable their attacks. But I ran out of time for that and a lot of other features.

I'm planning to expand this into a more robust prototype for further testing (to see if it would be viable for a full Steam release), would you be interested in additional testing down the line?

If so, please feel free to reply, or hop on the discord for my indie game studio: https://discord.gg/53MetJPvp7
